2 tbs. grated fresh ginger

2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 lb. shiitake mushrooms, stems discarded and caps thinly sliced
4 salmon steaks, about 1 1/2 lb. total, each 1 1/2 inches thick
6 oz. fresh chinese egg noodles
